As a Science & Psychology teacher with a keen interest in STEAM / STEM and digital technology, my resources are somewhat varied. Hopefully you will find something useful. Please leave reviews. FYI - I like to use non-standard fonts, but they are always free to download from the internet.

APFCE template

(0)
A template for students to deconstruct a research study and make notes on. Good for supporting less able students, or just when you want the students to make quick notes.
Analysing Acronyms posters

Analysing Acronyms posters

(0)
A set of 4 different A3 posters to remind students of the acronyms for analysing studies and theories. These could also be shrunk down to A4 and laminated for leaving on tables when students are more likely to use them.
Research Methods Playing Cards

Research Methods Playing Cards

(6)
A deck of cards with questions about general RM terms and for learning about / revising a study. Give a complete deck to each group, or deal out cards to the class. The cards are editable so you can adapt the questions for your needs. Print on white card, laminate & slice. This resource was inspired by a training session led by Celia Bone during the ATP Darlington CPD Saturday earlier this year. Please let me know what you think.

Plenary Playing Cards

(2)
A deck of playing cards with questions to be dealt out to students as part of a plenary or consolidate activity. I made the cards using publisher, so you can edit the questions to make them more suitable for your needs. Print them on white card, laminate, then slice them up. This resource was inspired by attending a CPD training session led by Celia Bone during the ATP Darlington CPD Saturday earlier this year. Please let me know what you think.

Quantitative Data posters

Some posters I produced to help students with analysing quantitative data. I do not refer to histograms in the 'Presenting Quantitative Data&' poster, although many Psychology textbooks do. This is because a Maths teacher colleague of mine was incensed by the incorrect usage of the term - she says that histograms are only for presenting frequency-distribution, or something like that. 0.o
Brain Dissection Lesson

Brain Dissection Lesson

(4)
A presentation & corresponding worksheet that I produced for a brain dissection lesson (note, it was a double lesson, 2hours). I've also included a manual for dissecting a sheep&'s brain that I found on the internet. I used preserved sheep brains from Blades Bio. The video that is missing from the powerpoint is Pinky é the Brain&';s Brainstem song - easily found on YouTube. Be sure to use the song if you have time - my students love it and Pinky é the Brain have become class mascots!

Criminal Psychology

Resources made for unit 1: Criminal Psychology in the OCR GCSE specification. I used two free downloadable fonts called Amatic SC and Caveat. If you do not install these fonts to your computer, a default standard font will be used which will change the appearance of the slides.

Exam Command Words poster

(7)
An A3 poster to help students understand the command words used in exam questions. The boxes are colour-coded to match my Thinking Ladder display, so feel free to change them to make it a bit more colourful.
OCR GCSE Psychology 'Road Map'

OCR GCSE Psychology 'Road Map'

(2)
A ‘road map’ or ‘journey’ for the delivery of OCR GCSE Psychology. This will be useful for when OfSTED come calling, but also a nice display for students to see which units will be completed throughout the course. I used special fonts to match UK road signs, so there are 4 fonts that need to be installed in order to use the editable publisher file without the text font changing and needing reformatting. You will need to download ‘transport medium’,‘transport heavy’ and ‘VMS’ from https://www.roads.org.uk/fonts and ‘Tekton Pro’ from https://www.wfonts.com/font/tekton-pro Note: ‘ASPIRE’ is a reference to my school’s ethos/motto (Achieve, Self-motivated, etc.) If you have any ideas for improvements, please let me know. =]
